Our Mission

The mission of the Greater Philadelphia Coalition of Reason is to promote the growth of nontheistic communities in the Delaware Valley region, and to raise awareness and understanding of nontheistic communities through public communication and education.

We achieve our mission by:

Promoting rationalism to the public at large.

Facilitating communication between local networks of agnostics, atheists, freethinkers, humanists, skeptics, and other rationalists.

Acting to preserve church-state separation and religious freedom for people of all lifestances.

Participating in community service in collaboration with other organizations based on shared values .

Sponsoring major social events, such as winter and summer celebrations, at which PhillyCOR member groups come together as an extended community.
